The MSOD6 is a high-performance Microvolume Spectrophotometer and Biophotometer designed for the precise quantification of nucleic acids, proteins, and cell cultures using microliter-range sample volumes. By requiring only 0.5 to 2 $\mu$L of sample, this instrument allows researchers to analyze precious samples with high accuracy while eliminating the need for cuvettes or capillaries in most assays.
Technically, the MSOD6 features a full-wavelength scanning range of 190–850nm and utilizes four optical paths to ensure linearity across varying concentrations. It integrates a Xenon flash lamp and UV-enhanced CMOS sensors for rapid measurements in under 6 seconds. The built-in Android operating system and 7-inch touch screen provide an intuitive interface for Nucleic Acid Testing (dsDNA range 2-27500ng/$\mu$L), Protein Analysis, OD600 measurement, and Kinetics. Additionally, the unit features built-in fluorescence detection for sensitive quantification of DNA and RNA using fluorescent dyes.
